Team Biography
Rick Gable was born and raised in NE Ohio, graduating from Kent State University in 1984. Upon graduation Rick, along with his father Richard (Dick) Gable, started Gable Health Care, a division of Gable Pharmacy in Cleveland Hts., Ohio. Gable Health Care distributed medical equipment and oxygen to patients being discharged from the hospital so that they could continue their rehabilitation at home.
Phil, a cousin of Rick’s and fellow native of NE Ohio, attended Cleveland State and was a member of the wrestling team before coming on board into the family business as a salesman. He continued his education in the elevator industry over the years and earned both Qualified Elevator Inspector and Certified Elevator Technician designations.
In 1991, Rick and Phil founded Gable Accessibility which specialized in residential accessibility equipment. Over the past 26 years, Gable Accessibility evolved into Gable Elevator, Inc. and has grown to a full service Commercial Elevator Company with over 50 employees serving the Northeast Ohio and Columbus Ohio areas.
As a locally owned independent elevator company, Rick and Phil, feel that they are in a unique position to advise, assist and service building owners and property managers. Besides the vast industry experience between the two of them, just as important is their willingness to be personally accessible to their customers.
In their spare time, Rick and Phil both enjoy golfing, grilling out with friends and family.
